The Patrol Division of the Catasauqua Police Department is the front line of the department. They respond to all calls for service from residence of the Borough.
These are the officers that are seen most by the residence and motoring public. Officers are on duty 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
The Catasauqua Police Department has officers assigned to various details in addition to their patrol assignments

Animal Control Officer
The Department
also employs a parttime
Animal Control
Officer under the
control of the Chief
of Police

Bicycle Patrol Officers
The department has
6 bicycle patrol
officer all which are
certified by the
International Police
Mountain Bike
Association. The
officers patrol all of
the Borough and
can be seen at most
outdoor events.

K-9 Officer
The Catasauqua Police
Department re-established
the K-9 Unit in 2009. The
officer and his partner are
certified in Patrol,
Protection, and Narcotics.
They respond to calls in
the Borough and assist
other departments as
needed. The dog lives with
the handler and a bond is
formed between the dog
and handler. Both dog and
officer work as a team.

Detective/Investigator
The Catasauqua Police Department has a
full-time Detective who is assigned to
investigate crimes which occur in the
Borough. Initial reports are taken by the
Patrol Division and forwarded to the
Detective for follow-up or re-assignment
back to the Patrol Officer. The Detective also
processes crime scenes.
